Soapstone Oil - 8oz

I tried this on a bunch of things. Really shines on slate, made the soapstone counter look new, not so much on the concrete but that's already been treated so wasn't expecting much there. I don't know how long it lasts (no change after several weeks) so I'll probably pick up their wax to try and make this refresh last. I did take a chance on an old wood cutting board, got results similar to mineral or linseed oil. I'm going to wait a month or so to see how it ages and if there are any effects before I trust it with a nice one, but so far seems to be good for wood as well. Smells great too which is a bonus.

The oil has a nice consistency — not too thick or runny — which makes it easy to apply with just a cloth. A little goes a long way, and the 8oz bottle is enough to treat multiple surfaces.What I really appreciate is that it’s a natural blend with no mineral oil, and it’s food safe, which gives me peace of mind when using it on kitchen counters. After application, the stone looks richer and darker, with a smooth, matte finish that enhances the natural texture without making it overly shiny or greasy.I also used it on a slate windowsill and a small concrete table — both came out looking cleaner and more vibrant. It helps to repel water and stains as well, which is a big plus.One thing to note: While the finish looks great, it’s not a permanent sealant. You’ll need to reapply regularly (every few weeks or monthly depending on use and wear), especially in high-traffic kitchen areas. Also, the bottle doesn't come with a spout or applicator, so I recommend pouring carefully or transferring it to a more convenient dispenser if you plan to use it often.Overall, it’s an excellent, safe, and easy-to-use product if you want to naturally care for and enhance your soapstone or other natural surfaces. Just be prepared for occasional reapplication to maintain the look.

This is one of those items I wanted to try for a little while before sharing my thoughts. I have used this Rhino wax soapstone oil for the last 2 months and have nothing but positive things to say. The oil is food-safe and suitable for multiple surfaces, such as stone, wood, and marble cutting boards. It hydrates stone effectively, giving it a darker, refreshed appearance while also preventing the dry, chalky look. The oil absorbs quickly, leaving a smooth, protected surface that feels well-maintained. The mildly citrus scent, derived from natural lemon and orange oils, is pleasant but not overpowering. The application is simple: using a microfiber cloth, I wiped the oil onto the surface, allowed it to soak in, and then removed any excess. Just a small amount covered each cutting board. Given both the container size and quality ingredients, I think this product is worth trying if you want to maintain, hydrate, and protect your cutting boards or wood surfaces without using harsh chemicals.
