Dog Nose Balm - Natural Dog Snout Soother and Nose Treatment

I have used plenty of Rhino Wax items but they have all been for my shoes. I was surprised to see that they have a line of pet related items. Since I am familiar with their quality, made in the USA items I had no reservations about trying this on our well loved Doodle. Sometimes our dog gets a dry nose, not sure why but it happens. My wife used this over the weekend and it definitely helped our dog. There is no odd smell and it didn’t make our dog uncomfortable when applied. Hopefully we won’t have to use this often but it’s good to know we have it for when we need it.

My dog loves to lay out in the sun, and recently, her nose has started drying, turning red/pink & cracking. She has started licking her nose, so I'm thinking her nose is beginning to hurt.I have started keeping her out of the sun, and putting this Rhino Wax balm on her nose twice daily. I like that the base of this balm is bees wax - which keeps the balm from being all licked off. She would lick a little bit after I applied it, but there was still a good amount of the balm on her nose after. Giving her a chew bone helped distract her from licking her nose too.In 2 days, you could see an improvement in her nose. It was no longer raw and cracking. Most of all, she wasn't licking her nose all the time anymore.It comes in a roll up paper tube with enough to treat a dogs nose for months without having to touch the balm. You roll it up, rub it over the nose, roll it down and cover.The ingredients are all natural, and has kept her nose in good shape, as I apply the balm a few times a week prophylactically. Good stuff!

This product works great! I applied it twice per day saw results after the first day. His nose was completely healed on the third day. My dog’s nose was VERY dried and cracked. There were large separated pieces sticking up. This product works fast!

This is a good roll on style balm, kind of like deodorant. I got a bunch of different types of this balm stuff from this company They all work quite well. The consistency is not too liquidy nor hard like a brick, so application is easy. The ingredients between the different balms varies a bit, but I haven't been able to do a deeper test on the specific differences between the products aside from the slightly different ingredients and packaging. Anyway, more importantly, this works well at protecting the nose/snout, especially during the hot summer. This was used on dogs of various sizes. I really appreciate the ingredients are non toxic. These are good products for your pup's nose/snout.

My dog who had passed always had a dried cracked nose in her later years. I'm sure it was not pleasant but had no idea nose balm was a thing. I wished my vet had told me about this. Here we are years later and I adopted a 5 year old lab. Her nose is not dry and cracked however I wanted this to keep on hand especially during the winter months. I never want her to go through what my late dog went through. I feel terrible about it but I didn't know there was something out there like this. I can't go back but I can ensure my new girl doesn't ever get the same issue.This is a wonderful size! It is super easy to use and my dog lets me put it on! I don't have to worry about her licking due to the 100% natural ingredients. I know this will last me a while! I am super pleased with the nose balm and the other uses it has on insect bites and wounds.

I needed to buy nose balm for my old dog (that has since passed away) because her nose got dry and cracked. I bought this Rhino Wax - Healing Dog Nose Balm for my current dogs that are 5 and 8 years old. Their noses aren't cracked (yet), but when it comes to the summer heat, they will need it.PROS:- This one is soooo much easier to apply because it comes out like a lipstick dispenser -- you just rotate it and don't need to put your fingers in it to wipe on your dog's nose.- It is moisturizing -- I tried taking "before" and "after" pictures, but they wouldn't hold still for a clear photo and their noses aren't that bad right now since it's been cold and rainy.- It is safe for your dog to lick off (which one dog immediately did) because it's all different types of oils- Made in America! I like supporting local, but I also trust the ingredients more when it comes from the USA, a country that understands how much we love our pets- It's not really any more costly than imported onesI did try their paw balm on my dogs, and that worked great on their paws for desert hikes. Based on these two balms, I really like this company's products and would definitely recommend.

I love this container. It makes it so easy to apply. I have a very fussy pup. He's old and he's just not having it anymore. So doing in between grooming is a trial. His nose gets icky since he doesn't clean the food off of it and because he's so fussy, it's hard to get him cleaned up. So every couple days we do a face cleaning where his eyes get cleaned, his chin gets cleaned off, his nose gets cleaned (and he really hates this), some breath spray, and finally (probably his favorite part) is when at the end he gets his nose waxed with the Rhino nose balm. At first he balked at it - but now he's fine with it. The balm keeps his nose from being crusty for about a day. Then he gets dried food on it, but it's getting better in that the food isn't sticking so much at first. He's really a messy eater and he doesn't lick his nose like my old dogs used to do. He's 17 years old and I think he just like - ehh who cares? I'm an old dog!The sort of lip balm packaging makes it really easy to use. I had another brand that came in an actual lip balm container and that was a little too small to be able to use without scraping his nose unless I unscrewed it a lot. This packaging has a large surface area which makes it easier to use. Sometimes I get a little too much on and I just massage it around his entire nose which he doesn't love so much.The dog doesn't get fussy about having this on. He doesn't try to get it off. So it's all good.

I am so happy to have found this brand! I like every balm and wax I have tried for my pup's paws. And this nose balm works great, too. It is so much easier and more convenient to apply this balm from a tube than similar balms housed in a tin or jar. We have two small dogs and neither one of them particularly care for having a balm applied with a soft cloth, cotton pad or just my fingers. It is always a fun game of dodge and wiggle and I usually just get a little bit of balm on the intended spot. Most of which is immediately licked off. This balm makes it easy to get a quick swipe in before they have even realized it. Two swipes and we are done! I initially thought this product was a bit pricey. But now that I have received it, I can see that 2 ounces is a lot! This tube will last quite a while. The cardboard tube (and lid) is robust and is standing up to frequent use perfectly. Just twist the base to extend or retract the wide, solid stick of balm. It holds its shape but is soft and smooth enough that it is simple to apply and not uncomfortable or bothersome for my pups. They still lick off quite a bit of the product, so I'm glad this balm is made in the USA of safe ingredients. At least some of the balm survives the removal attempts as both of their dry, cracked noses are already starting to look a lot better after just a couple of days.

Works really well for our 2 labs with dry noses! Highly recommend!

We tried Burt's Bees lotion but it wasn't effective.After two days of using rhino, his nose is getting better.

My dog has had a dry rough nose over the past few months. This has his nose nice and soft after 2 days of use.

So, my dog doesn't hate much, but she hates this product, too bad. I think I'm going to put some in my fingers next time and try it that way.Pros: she was very dehydrated and sunburned from visiting a friend. It was in the triple digits and the UV index was about 11 everyone had issues. Her nose cracked, bled, lost all the fur and her skin turned white. Yeah scary, but within about 3 days it was mostly healed and kept improving. It also is great a preventative during and extreme weather. Also, I don't smell anything, thank goodness.Cons: obviously she doesn't like it. And the lid isn't very tight so the base will slip off. But that's has nothing to do with it's effectiveness.I don't care if it makes her nose soft. I want her to be healthy and it works.

Perfect for my elderly boxer! So easy to use, works great and improved nose almost immediately. LOVE this product and brand.

I have an older GSD, and her nose gets so dry now. This works well to help heal her nose, and she doesn’t mind it too much.

My long haired Chihuahua has allergies and her little nose is always getting dry and chapped looking so I bought this hoping it would work I put it on in the morning and then before bed and her little nose is no longer chapped and scaly and the fact that it's made out of all natural ingredients is best for me because now I know my dog's safe I highly recommend it

This stuff works great. Goes on easy lasts and has given my Pup some relief. She gets a very chapped nose cause she loves to lay in front of the fans.

I used this on my dog after I noticed that he had a small scratch on his nose, most likely from my cat that he won't leave alone. It worked well and it didn't seem to bother him at all, but he kept wanting to lick it all off which defeats the purpose.

I have a boxer whose nose for some reason gets extremely dry.And this works like a dream. I just put a little bit on my finger.Rub it into his nose, and it stops the dry cracks. I used it about three times and it seemed to solve the problem.So highly recommend it for your boxers out there.

Our senior dog’s nose developed a dry crust along the top ridge. It seemed that it also made his nose entirely dry. I tried various remedies, none of which helped much at all. And one I tried smelled awful. I’m SO GLAD I gave one last product a try. This Rhino Wax worked incredibly well, and very fast. And it smells great; our dog didn’t wince from having it applied. In less than a week, his nose went from being super dry and covered with a ridge or dried crust to smooth and wet like it should be. After a few weeks post-use the ridge starts to come back, but it goes away again after 1 or 2 applications.You need little wax per application which makes it even a better value as the tube will last quite awhile. Wholly recommended.
