Healing Dog Paw Balm (2oz)

My oldest, largest dog has always had dry, cracked pads and I haven't found anything that really works for her. I think the issue is that she has paw pads that are at least twice as thick as any dogs I've every had or seen. They are ridiculous.I recently found this balm and have started putting it on her. Because of her age and arthritis, there is no issue finding a time where she is conked out on the couch for a long enough period that I can apply this without worrying she is going to lick it or get up and walk around. I don't think we've been trying this long enough to notice a difference yet though.The balm comes in a chapstick like container that is paper on the outside and plastic inside (the balm tube and cover). I find that disappointing. The image description states that this this is "climate conscious" and that the packaging is "responsibly sourced" to "reduce environmental impact." There is no plastic that is good plastic.I do appreciate that the scent is very light and disappears as the balm is rubbed in. I am very sensitive to smell and this doesn't bother me at all.Overall, I like the product so far and it seems affordable.

It's okay, but you don't get a lot for your money. Compared to some of the other brands. We are using another brand that is a third of the price and having the same results

I ordered this for my rat terrier that has very dry paw pads and it is very moisturizing for him definitely recommend this

This is an excellent balm to help heal and protect my dog's rough paws. It is housed in a large, sturdy cardboard tube that can be twisted to raise the solid stick of balm, just like an over-sized chapstick. The cardboard lid is easily removed, and there is also a small plastic disc to cover the surface of the balm, which I really like. The balm has a nice scent and the consistency of the balm is just right -- it feels very smooth and it is not too hard or too soft, so it is easily applied. This is a much more convenient method than trying to apply a cream from a tube or a balm from a jar + there is no mess. My pups were a little mistrustful at first and then they seemed to think I was trying to play, but they are slowly getting used to the idea of having this balm applied a couple of times a day. I haven't had much luck with distracting them, so I do try to time it for when they are already tuckered out so they are less likely to lick most of the balm off (it must taste as good as it smells). The balm is very effective and I have noticed that both of my dogs already have smoother, softer paws after just a few applications. The price seems very reasonable for two ounces, which seems as if it will last quite a while. I appreciate that the full list of ingredients is shown in the description and that the balm is made in the USA.
