I make a lot of self-care products for myself, and other humans. I love that I can pronounce, and am familiar with, all of the ingredients in this product. Awesome size and easy application.

This kit is great for our dog's paws, and not just for the occasional trip to the beach, either. I already have a single tube of this beach wax, as well as some of the other balms made by this brand, so I know they are safe, easy to apply and effective. I was happy to find this two-pack that also includes a soft cloth that I can use to clean their paws before applying the wax when we are on the go. I also use it to apply the wax which I find easier (the dogs are very interested in the container, but they don't pay any attention at all to a cloth). This also helps keep the surface of the balm stick clean. I use this not only for the beach, but it is nice to apply in the mornings before the pups head out into the backyard. Part of the yard is soft grass, but there is a rough area farther back with bricks, paving stones, dirt, rocks and native plants including cacti. All of which can be rough on paws. I use the regular paw balm from Rhino Wax at night when our pups are all tired out. And I put socks on the their feet so they don't spend too much time trying to lick the product off. In the morning, when they are well-rested and feisty, it is a different story. At first it wasn't easy to get them to sit still long enough to put the wax on, but they are getting used to it. It is still hard to distract them so they don't lick it all off but if I spend a couple of minutes massaging it in, I trust most of the wax has been absorbed. Between using the regular balm and this wax, I have noticed a significant improvement in the condition of both dog's paws. They are no longer so dry and the cracking is definitely beginning to lessen, even after just a few applications. Each tube contains two ounces of balm, which will likely be enough to last through the entire summer.

This paw wax caught my eye - my 17 year old dog struggles with dry and cracked paw pads. In fact, one day during a bath, I freaked out…his pads started to come off!! I didn’t know that could happen and I was so scared.Luckily, paw pads are made of keratin, like our fingernails.. so they do regenerate.Still, I want to keep my guy’s pads in better shape so he doesn’t have that painful cracking.This wax comes in a super nice lil’ gift set.You get 2 big tubes (big enough to do XL sized paws easily!)You also get a little wiping cloth.My first thought was that this would be a really thoughtful gift for someone’s pup!Now the formula.. it’s great quality. No nasties or preservatives. Just nourishing ingredients to keep the keratin in tact.My guy doesn’t like having his paws handled, but this big sized stick makes it fast and easy to get the job done.He’s definitely having less cracking since we started using it.We live in the desert.. so even though they didn’t make a desert-specific wax, this one said it was good for abrasive surfaces, which describes this place perfectly. lol.

This product is amazing for your dog's feet we used it for the beach and hiking and I can say it is fantastic. When we were at the beach the sand was Hot and we placed this on our dog's feet before going out and our dog's feet were not affected by the hot sand this product protected there feet .I would highly recommend this product for your dog's feet on asphalt, hot sand at beach, hiking on trails .

We took our Golden Retriever to the beach for the first time and the wax protected him 100%.
